Creation is a journey
My creative process isn’t organized.
I usually start with an idea, sit down to make it, get distracted, pivot, try something new, have it go completely sideways, scrap it, remember what I was supposed to be doing, realize I have to pee, and then forget what I was doing altogether.
Eventually, I land somewhere unexpected — creating something entirely different from what I originally imagined. I can never seem to repeat myself, and making the second earring is always an adventure (usually one filled with some very colorful language).
What that means is my work is a never-ending journey. And honestly, what artist ever really feels like they’ve finished something anyway? Each piece holds a sharp memory for me — whether it flowed effortlessly or had to be cut apart and reworked 17,000 times before finally coming together.
So here it is — my story and my ongoing journey. I like to think it shows a charming evolution… or at least the delightful chaos of someone who’s slightly (and wonderfully) coo-coo.
Be kind of weird & love it.
Be sure to come back to see more pieces as they are made!
